How do I get certified for a module within Interact?

To earn a certification for a module, you need to pass its dedicated Essentials course and User course. All Essentials courses are bundled with their related User course, so just search for the User course you’re interested in and get started!

What’s the difference between an Essentials course and a User course?

An Essentials course introduces you to a specific Interact solution and how it solves marketing challenges. A User course teaches you how to use a specific Interact solution yourself, by taking you through the application’s various features and workflows.

Do I need to pass an Essentials course to start a User course?

Yes. Though you can take Essentials courses as standalone activities, they’re also built into every User course. This is because the foundational knowledge provided by an Essentials course is necessary to understand the more complex processes detailed in its connected User course.

Do I have to repeat activities from a standalone Essentials course once I start the User course for the same application?

Not at all! As you work through any standalone Essentials course, our system automatically detects each of the activities that you pass. If you then progress to the User course for the same application, all Essentials-related activities will be marked as complete, allowing you to skip over them.

Do I need to be certified to use an application?

No. However, earning your certification in a specific Interact solution will empower you to make the most of the application and minimize any blockers while you use it. Studying for your certification builds your knowledge of an application’s interface, workflows, and functionalities. It also informs you of best practices, to help ensure that your output is of a consistently high standard.

Do I need to attend any live training to get certified?

No, all training events are completely optional. However, they offer plenty of unique insights into using Interact solutions – and can even be customized to address your specific needs – so they’re an excellent way to further your expertise.

For how long is my certification valid?

All certifications are valid for two years from the date you first receive them.

Do I need to retake both the Essentials and User courses for an application to renew my certification?

Yes. Both Essentials and User courses will reflect any updates to an Interact solution since you last earned your certification. To help familiarize yourself with these changes, you’re required to complete both.
